We used to have one large coop, that I could enter and close another door to make it 2 coops, then we had 2 other coops beside it and then a couple chicken tractors. I went to meet a lady, now a good friend of mine, walked around saw her set up and thought to myself, that should be easy enough! I came home to my husband with the pictures in the camera and idea's I had been tossing around in my head from the nearly 5 hour drive and while they're not exactly the same, we tweaked it a bit to be our own, they work great for me!!
I am now able to keep my different varieties seperate, to keep my birds pure. YES!!
So we started building last summer, we were able to get half way done. Except for the painting, I need to finish painting the ones we did last summer, I wanted them completed and put up so they could be used over the winter, so the painting had to wait till we got better weather.

My coops in progress! Still need the houses attached, and doors.

These are our doors, my husbands sooo good!

The houses are on and now my husband is putting the doors onto the coops.

This is one of the duck pens, pools drop down into the floor so they are level, I saw this at another duck breeders house before too, next is putting drains on them.

The door cut into the house for egg collecting.

Hubby brought out the big sprayer, went by SOO much faster!

And I painted the houses up.

Houses on, doors on the houses are good.

There will be wire on the pen door, we used plywood for now because
I wanted to get these butterscotch in there own pen.
I have lots of touch up paint to do and need to paint the pen doors still.
Yeah...The date was off on my camera for these last 3 pictures. 04/28/2009

Just need to add latches to the coop doors and roosts! I moved my
Orpingtons to a new pen today.
They are DONE! Latches have been put in place, (not pictured) and
everyone is in their new homes! Its working out perfect for us!
Thanks to my wonderful husband, and excellent kids helping with the painting!
